I really think he's getting it!

It's been a LONG week, and at times I despaired that we were going to have to wait but all of a sudden it seems to have clicked for him. Poop may be another story as he won't even sit on the toilet if I dump his poop in there but I'm not going to worry about it. If we can be out of diapers for pee then I'll be ecstatic! I mean, even this morning he came downstairs in his nighttime diaper (that was DRY!) and when he had to go he ran, instead of doing ti in the diaper. And back in Courtney training days if she had a diaper on and pee ws coming it would go in the diaper.

Could he be getting it?????

OMG! So, I have been the one putting Ryan on the potty. Not once has he initiated. Tonight I was running the bath and he was naked and he all of a sudden beelines it in to the bathroom, climbs up and pees IN the potty! I hope this is a sign of a breakthrough!

Playgroup Meeting Today

I have a meeting at the Family Network about the upcoming session of playgroup so I am going to brave it with Ryan in Big Boy Underwear. I remember Courtney did really well on trips out as far as accidents so maybe the same will hold with Ryan. Yesterday 5 accidents but when he was wet he was sad so we'll see. Fingers crossed!

Operation Big Boy Underwear- Day 5

Day 4 was pretty much like day 3, 3 accidents. But I'm starting to think he's getting it. He seems to be going longer between times of using the potty although it is still me telling him to go. But if he says he doesn't need to I've been giving longer time before asking again. And last night he fell asleep quick and slept until almost 7:30 this morning. Reminds me of the early days of learning new big things so maybe it's sinking in! Fingers still crossed please!

Day 3- much better than days 1&2

He only had accidents 3 times today, though I still was the one reminding him to try. But maybe he'll figure it out since he really doesn't like being wet.

Operation Big Boy Underwear- Day 3

So far so good, I am staying on him and he's only gone through 2 sets of bottoms so far and it's now just after 1pm. But he still isn't initiating any potty trips. He doesn't like it when he's wet though so that's on the plus side for us.
